Mercedes GLB X247 door lights (from 2019)
The GLB is an honest case of the manufacturer not being precise. Mercedes lists the X247, from November 2019, only on the page of the adapter that belongs with its logo projector. No equipment code is given, unlike for the GLA and the A-Class. What you do know: the matching installation kit is for the front doors, only for cars with door exit lighting, not together with code 587 and not for AMG models.

What your car needs
A logo set replaces the exit light in the front door. Mercedes writes that its installation kit (A 247 820 87 02) can only be fitted to cars that have this lighting, and lists the GLB with the adapter that goes with it (A 247 820 76 03). According to Mercedes that adapter prevents the projector from flickering.
Because Mercedes names no code, there is only one way to be sure: look. Open a front door after dark. If a small lamp in the bottom edge of the door panel lights the ground, the lamp is there.
The kit is not listed together with the logo projection in the exterior mirror (code 587). If your GLB projects a logo from the mirror, send us a photo of the lamp under your door before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Why is there a code for the GLA and not for the GLB?
Mercedes does not explain it. The GLA (H247) is on the page that carries the condition U62; the GLB (X247) is only on the page of the adapter.
Does this also apply to the GLB 35?
According to the parts page, Mercedes's installation kit is not for AMG models. If you drive one, send us a photo of the lamp in your door first.
Can I do the rear doors as well?
Mercedes names the front doors. If your rear doors nevertheless light the ground when they open, send us a photo before you order a set of 4.
