Mercedes B-Class W246 door lights (2011–2019)
A B-Class W246 can take logo door lights in the front doors if it was built with the Light and Sight package. That is how Mercedes's own parts data puts it: its projector is listed for the W246 only in combination with code U62. The lamp it replaces sits in the bottom edge of the front door panel and lights the ground when you get out.

What your car needs
Check the car before the catalogue. Open a front door after dark: if the ground under the door is lit by a small lamp in the door panel, you have the exit light the projector replaces.
On paper it is code U62. Mercedes lists its own projector (A 247 820 74 03) for the W246 with that code only. The code is on the data card, which any Mercedes-Benz dealer can print from the VIN.
No light and no U62? Then the door has no lamp and no plug, and a plug-in set cannot be connected.
2 or 4 lights?
For the W246 Mercedes names the front doors. Order the set of 2.
The set of 4 only makes sense on cars with factory lamps in all four doors, and Mercedes's data does not show that for this B-Class.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to take the door panel off?
No. The lamp is clipped into the underside of the panel. You lever it out with a plastic trim tool, pull the plug and click the projector into the same opening. Our installation guide shows it step by step.
Will the car report a faulty bulb?
No. The projectors are CAN-bus proof; you do not get a message on the dashboard.
Is the newer B-Class, the W247, the same?
No. For the W247 (from 2019) Mercedes lists its projector only together with an adapter set. This page covers the W246.
