Audi A6 C7 door lights (2011–2018)
The A6 C7 is the generation where you have to look at the plug, not only at the code. Cars with equipment code QQ1 or QQ2 have the LED entry lamp with the narrow connector, front and rear. A genuine-parts reseller also lists a halogen version with a wide connector for the front doors of the C7. Both sit in the same spot under the door, but they are not interchangeable.

What your car needs
Whatever you fit, it takes the place of the entry lamp that is already in the door. For the A6 and A7 with type code 4G, Audi lists its LED logo projector (part 4G0 052 133 G) with QQ1 or QQ2, front and rear. The rear doors are excluded on cars with the Bang & Olufsen sound system (code 8RF).
The colour of the light tells you a lot: bright white points to the LED lamp, yellowish to a halogen bulb. To be certain, lever the lamp out and compare its connector with the photo here.

QQ1 or QQ2 without 8RF: set of 4. With 8RF: set of 2, front doors only.
Saloon, Avant and allroad are all four-door cars, so the choice depends on the codes alone.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see which connector my A6 C7 has without taking the door apart?
You do not need to remove the door panel. The lamp is a small clear lens in the underside of the panel; a plastic trim tool lifts it out in seconds, and the plug is on the back.
Where do I find QQ1, QQ2 or 8RF?
On the vehicle data sticker with the three-character equipment codes. Audi puts one in the service booklet and one in the boot, near the spare-wheel well.
Does the 2014 facelift change anything?
Audi's accessory data makes no distinction by year for the 4G: the same codes apply from 2011 to 2018.
