Audi e-tron and Q8 e-tron door-entry lights

Audi's accessory listing for its own LED logo projector does name a Q8, but only the Q8 with type code 4MN. The electric e-tron (2019–2022) and its updated version, renamed Q8 e-tron (2023–2025), are not on it, neither as SUV nor as Sportback. For these cars the rule is therefore simply the lamp: if your car has a factory courtesy lamp at the bottom of the door, the projector takes its place, plug & play.

How to order: enter your car model and year when you order. We send the right version for your car.

Which e-tron / Q8 e-tron do you have?

  • e-tron and e-tron Sportback GE

    2019–2022

Audi's first all-electric SUV, built in Brussels; the Sportback (from 2020) has a sloping roofline. Not named in Audi's accessory listing for the logo projector.

  • Q8 e-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron GE

    2023–2025

The updated e-tron, sold as Q8 e-tron from 2023; production ended in early 2025. Not named in Audi's accessory listing either.

What your car needs

Audi door-entry light housing seen from the back, with its single connector
The Audi version: a single connector at the back. Enter your model and year when you order and we send the right version.

The projector clicks into the existing courtesy lamp at the bottom of your door. If your car has no lamp there from the factory, there is no connector to plug into.

Audi's accessory list gives no equipment code for the e-tron or the Q8 e-tron. The only Q8 on it is the Q8 with type code 4MN, a different car. So there is no code on the vehicle data sticker to look up.

Body style and trim level make no difference to the connection: what matters is the lamp in the door.

Audi uses two types of connector under the door: a narrow one for the LED version and a wider one for the older halogen version. You don't need to check which one you have: enter your model and year when you order and we send the right version. How to replace the lamp →

The option codes on this page are the manufacturer's rules for its own original projector.

2 or 4 lights?

Set of 2 = front doors, set of 4 = all four. Whether a set of 4 makes sense depends on the rear doors: open each door in the dark and count the doors where a white light falls on the ground.

Frequently asked questions

The Q8 is on Audi's list. Does that cover the Q8 e-tron?
No. The list names the Q8 with type code 4MN, the SUV built since 2018. The Q8 e-tron is the renamed e-tron (type GE), a different car with a different body. For it the list gives nothing, so what counts is a factory lamp at the bottom of the door.
Do the Sportback, e-tron S and SQ8 e-tron count too?
Yes, they are versions of the same model (type GE). Audi's list names none of them, so the same rule applies: a factory lamp at the bottom of the door.
Does this page also cover the e-tron GT?
No. The e-tron GT is a different car, a four-door coupé. It is not on Audi's list either, so for the e-tron GT, too, a factory lamp at the bottom of the door decides.
Do I need to work out which version my e-tron needs?
No. Enter your model and year when you order and we send the right version. If in doubt, you can always send us a photo.

Equipment-code information: Audi Genuine Accessories listing for the entry LED “Audi rings”, part 4G0 052 133 G (Audi Zentrum Ingolstadt), consulted 16 September 2026. The e-tron and Q8 e-tron (GE) are not named in it. RD Customz sells its own aftermarket set, not an Audi genuine part.
