Ambient lighting for your Kia: wireless, in 2 minutes
Give your Kia a soft, premium glow at night, without wiring or a dealer visit. On current Kia models, factory ambient lighting usually comes with the higher trims, while entry-level versions often go without it, so whether your car has it depends on model, year and trim. If yours has none, or only a basic version, wireless RGB LED lights add it in about two minutes. View the wireless ambient lighting.
- No wiring, no modifications: nothing is connected to your Kia's electrics.
- 8 RGB colours and several lighting modes, switched with the included remote.
- USB-C rechargeable: every light has its own battery.
- Set of 2 or 4: light one zone, or the footwells and doors together.
- Fits virtually any Kia, whatever its model or age.
1. Does your Kia have factory ambient lighting?
What we could verify from Kia UK's current specification pages (November 2026), which list the feature as “Customisable Ambient Lighting”:
- Sportage: standard on the GT-Line S, and on the Storm edition only with the automatic gearbox (DCT/AT). Not available on the Pure and GT-Line.
- EV6: standard on the GT-Line and GT-Line S, not available on the Air.
- EV3: standard on the GT-Line, GT-Line S and GT, not available on the Air.
- Stonic: standard on the GT-Line and GT-Line S, not available on the Pure.
Trim names and equipment differ per country and model year, and older Kia models are not covered by this list. Not sure what your Kia has? A Kia dealer can look up its factory equipment from the VIN. Wireless lights add a glow where your Kia has none, for example in the footwells, the rear or around the centre console.

2. Where the lights look best in a Kia
- Footwells: under the dashboard edge, pointing at the floor. In the driver's footwell, fit the light high up, well away from the pedals.
- Door pockets: in or under the door pocket, so the light washes over the door trim.
- Centre console and cupholders: along the sides of the console or under the edge of the armrest, pointing down.
- Lower edge of the dashboard: low down and pointing down, so the light falls on the surface instead of towards you.
Rule of thumb: you should see the glow, not the light itself.
Where not to place them:
- Not on or near airbags: the steering wheel, the passenger side of the dashboard, the seat sides, and the doors and pillars where side and curtain airbags deploy. Your owner's manual shows where they are.
- Not in your line of sight: not on top of the dashboard, not next to the instrument cluster or the central display, and not where the light reflects in the windscreen or side windows.
- Not near the pedals, and make sure no light can come loose.
3. Fitting in 2 minutes
- Charge: charge the lights via USB-C before first use.
- Clean: wipe the spot with a damp cloth, remove grease with a little isopropyl alcohol or a mild interior cleaner, and let it dry completely.
- Place: check the position and direction in the dark, then fix the light. On leather or Alcantara, try a hidden spot first.
- Switch on: use the remote to switch the lights on and choose a colour and mode.
As with every order, you enter your Kia model and year in the order field. If in doubt, you can always send us a photo.
4. Questions from Kia drivers
- Set of 2 or 4 for my Kia? A set of 2 is enough for one zone, such as the front footwells or the centre console. A set of 4 adds the doors or the rear for an all-round look.
- How do I charge them? Via USB-C, the connector most current phones use. Charge them indoors or from a USB port in your Kia, only while parked.
- Will they drain my Kia's battery? No. Each light runs on its own rechargeable battery and is not connected to the car.
- Will they damage the interior? Nothing is drilled or cut and no trim comes off. Fit them on a clean, dry surface and try a hidden spot first on leather or Alcantara.
- Can I use them while driving? Keep it subtle: cabin light can reflect in the windscreen and affect your night vision. Set a calm, steady colour before you drive off and switch the lights off if they distract you. Rules differ per country, but interior light must never dazzle or distract the driver.
