Wireless CarPlay for Opel Corsa: make your factory CarPlay wireless
With a wireless adapter you get into your Opel Corsa, start the car and drive off: CarPlay or Android Auto starts by itself and your phone stays in your pocket or bag. There is one condition: your Corsa already has wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto from the factory. That is usually the case with the IntelliLink touchscreen of the Corsa E from late 2015 and with the touchscreens of the Corsa F and Corsa-e from 2019. You can check it in one minute below.

1. What the adapter does in your Opel Corsa
- Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in one adapter: iPhone and Android.
- Plugs into the existing USB port your Opel Corsa uses for CarPlay or Android Auto.
- Pair once, then the phone connects by itself.
- No installation, no tools: nothing changes in the car.
- Your Opel Corsa's own screen and controls keep working: touchscreen, steering-wheel buttons, speakers and microphone.
2. Does your Opel Corsa qualify? The 1-minute test
- Start the car and wait until the touchscreen is fully on.
- Connect your phone to a USB port with a cable: an iPhone for CarPlay, an Android phone for Android Auto.
- CarPlay or Android Auto appears: your Opel Corsa has the connection the adapter needs. The adapter goes into exactly that USB port.
- Nothing appears: try the other USB ports and a good cable, because some ports only charge. If nothing appears on any port, your Opel Corsa most likely has no CarPlay or Android Auto, and the adapter will not add it.
Passed the test? Then your Opel Corsa has what the adapter needs. Order the adapter and enter your Opel Corsa's version and year in the order field.
3. Which Opel Corsa generations have wired CarPlay
What your Corsa has depends mainly on the generation and on the radio or touchscreen:
- Corsa E (2014–2019): Apple CarPlay and Android Auto came to the Corsa at the end of 2015 with the R 4.0 IntelliLink and its 7-inch touchscreen, connected with a USB cable. From mid-2017 the Navi 4.0 IntelliLink, also with a 7-inch touchscreen, offered CarPlay and Android Auto too. Corsa E versions with a simple radio without touchscreen, such as the CD 3.0 BT, usually have no CarPlay, and neither do most Corsas built before the end of 2015.
- Corsa F (2019–2023), including the Corsa-e: the Multimedia systems with a 7-inch colour touchscreen (Multimedia Radio, Multimedia Navi) and the 10-inch Multimedia Navi Pro have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto by cable; according to Opel, wireless only arrived with the 2023 update. Entry versions can have a simple radio without CarPlay: in Germany, for example, the Corsa Edition had the Radio BT with a 5-inch monochrome screen. This is the Corsa where the adapter makes the most sense.
- Corsa facelift (deliveries from late 2023), including the Corsa Electric: a 10-inch Multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, standard on every version according to Opel's 2024 price list. You usually do not need the adapter for CarPlay; check Android Auto separately with your phone. Some early facelift cars still had a 7-inch screen: if your phone only connects with a cable, the adapter helps.
These are the usual equipment levels; versions and markets differ. The cable test is decisive.
4. Set it up in your Opel Corsa in 3 steps
- Plug in: start the car, unplug the phone cable and plug the adapter into the USB port that worked in the test.
- Pair once: switch on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone, choose the adapter in the Bluetooth list (not the car) and follow the manual.
- Confirm: accept the CarPlay or Android Auto prompt on your phone. After that, the phone should connect by itself every time you get in.
5. Questions from Opel Corsa drivers
- Does it work with the R 4.0 IntelliLink or Navi 4.0 IntelliLink in the Corsa E? Yes, if the screen shows Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with a cable. CarPlay or Android Auto still runs on the Corsa's own 7-inch touchscreen. If your Corsa E has a radio without touchscreen, such as the CD 3.0 BT, the adapter will not help.
- Which USB port in the Corsa? The one where the test worked. Not every USB socket carries data; some only charge. In the Corsa F this is usually the USB socket at the front of the centre console; in the facelift it is the USB-C socket there, while the rear USB-C sockets, if fitted, only charge.
- Does it work in the electric Corsa-e? Yes, the same applies as for the petrol and diesel Corsa: the Corsa-e from 2019 to 2023 has the same Multimedia systems and usually CarPlay and Android Auto by cable. The facelifted Corsa Electric is already wireless.
- My Opel Corsa only shows Android Auto (or only CarPlay) with a cable. Does the adapter help? Only for that system. The adapter does not add a system your Opel Corsa lacks. For wireless Android Auto, Google lists a phone with Android 11 or later and 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
- Will the steering-wheel buttons and Siri or Google Assistant still work? Yes. If the voice button starts Siri or the Google Assistant with the cable, it does the same with the adapter. Calls use the car's speakers and microphone.
- Lag and battery? Wireless can respond slightly slower than a cable, mostly with audio, such as a short delay when you skip a track. Your phone no longer charges via the USB port and uses more battery, so use a charger on long drives.
